When you are caught between a rock
and a hard place, the volunteers at the local fire
and rescue departments are the ones who come to your
aid. To make that possible, they train hard to
learn life-saving techniques.
As the pictures from this February
2008 extrication exercise demonstrate, training to
be ready when someone is caught between life and
death is dangerous work. Members of all the
departments who might respond must work together.
Life several action dramas playing
at the same time on the same stage, these men and
women took to the task at hand on a day where the
weather was a cold, damp blanket on every action.
Be proud of what they do and be
very thankful they are willing to do it.
