GRACE needs update:

Housecleaning, once per week, if possible. 42-yr old
legally blind gentleman. Very neat, but cannot see well enough to
dust/clean surface areas or vacuum. He is present while cleaning is
being done. Very pleasant, enjoys talking!
1. Some deep cleaning required on bath and kitchen surfaces at first.
.......a nice job for a group of 2-4 persons to go in as a start.
2. Maintenance - someone to CLEAN, preferably once a week, MAY THROUGH
AUGUST
....... Someone has volunteered to clean through the winter months, is
out of state most of the summer.
GRACE needs update:

Each summer we have several requests for lawn care from
elderly or disabled clients.
Currently we have two MOWING requests:
#172 Ruckersville - 20'wide x60'long strip in front of and behind
trailer of young man who has recently become legally blind. He has
already tried to move his grass, but he cannot see how to do it. He
lives alone and is still trying to take care of himself, and taking
classes for the blind.
Can someone help this young man?
#178 Middle River - Grassy area around house would take about an
hour with a riding lawn mower, she says - for lady with multiple
disabilities.
Can someone help this lady?
A family from our Needs Network has moved into their new home and has an
oil stove and tank that will be destroyed w/the old house.
If you know of someone that can use it, please let us know right away.

1. Volunteer for Carpentry Projects “INSPECTOR”
2. Church/Community Volunteer Crews for CARPENTRY PROJECTS (mostly
handicapped ramps/railings)
3. Church/Community Volunteer Youth/Adult Groups for SUMMER YARD WORK
(mostly mowing)
4. DELIVERY CREWS – Most of our requests are meeting needs for our
working poor, so most deliveries need to be made at night or on
Saturdays. We have one or more deliveries most weeks. Currently we have
two delivery volunteers - one available during the week, and one
available on Saturdays. They have made most of the deliveries for the
past quarter, and have done so joyfully. Still it would be very nice to
have several volunteers that we could call on, on a rotating basis.
