
When you really want to say
it with flowers for
Mother's Day, try this fun
flower arrangement idea
from the

M-O-M-! -
Recipe by Jill Slater
Materials:
One colorful plate
Four-inch cookie
cutters: two 'M' and one
'O'
One brick of floral foam
(pink if possible)
Five to eight stems (45
to 40 blooms required) of
purple asters also called
September Flower
Floral preservative,
clippers and knife
Directions:
Step 1 - Soak the
floral foam in water that
has been treated with
floral preservative for at
least 30 minutes.
Step 2 - Cut the
floral foam into slices of
the same depth as the
cookie cutters. Press the
cookie cutters into the
floral foam and cut off the
excess.
Step 3 - Snip the
aster blooms leaving
approximately a 1 inch
stem.
Step 4 - Insert the
flowers to cover the floral
foam and when finished, set
the flowered cookie cutters
on the breakfast plate to
read 'MOM.'
