Speaking
of hunger - don't forget
to stop by the Post
Office for the annual

Stamp Out Hunger
Day.
Home you did not forget
to leave some
non-perishable food items
at your mail box for
pick-up. All the
food collected in Greene
County stays in the
county at the Greene
County Food Bank and
feeds your neighbors in
need.
While you
are at the Post Office
pick up a roll of 100
Forever stamps for your
Mom and yourself because
the price for mail goes
up on Monday.

Show Mom
you think she is one of a
kind by stopping in one
of the many great
specialty shops in Greene
like our friend Lillian's
place
The Little
Shop on Main Street
Lillian
is now serving a
wonderful lunch in her
tea room from 11 - 2.
It's a great, personal
setting and while you
savor your choices, you
and Mom can look at all
the antiques,
collectibles and
boutiques items for sale.
Perhaps
you can pick up the
perfect container for
Mom's new plant.
Remember, anything can be
used as outside container
as long as a waterproof
holder for the plant can
fit inside. How
about this bag?
Before you
head for other activities
around the area listed in
this week's
Weekender,
stop by Luck Stone on
Route 29 for a Community
Open House from 9AM -
2PM.
BUT
Make
sure you are back in time
to visit with friends
over a delicious
spaghetti dinner to
support Greene Habitat
for Humanity. Serving
from 5PM - 7PM @ Grace
Episcopal Church on Main
Street in Stanardsville.
While the
big kids are off to the
William Monroe High
School Prom and the
safety of the Red Carpet
Event at After Prom
(remember, we want all
mother's to have their
kids safe with them on
Mother's Day) why not see
if you can recognize any
of the cast in the Four
County Player's newest
production
Lend Me a Tenor?
On Sunday,
Mother's Day - save your
energy for fixing lunch
or dinner with one of
wonderful recipes and
take Mom to the
Mother's
Day Breakfast @
The Stanardsville
Volunteer Fire Department
from 8:00AM - 11:30AM
Like Mom
these are the people who
are always there when you
need them.
You're
free for the rest of the
day to appreciate Mom any
way you want but always
remember, there is no day
like today to celebrate
with the people you love. |
