 Storm
clouds provided cooling
shade for a hot day but
kept their rain close
until the event was
finished. Perhaps
they enjoyed watching all
the fun. The 440
people who enjoyed a
luscious breakfast or
those who bought the
pancakes, pies, crepes
and cakes created by 640
pounds of red, ripe
Virginia grown fruit.
 The
day was more than good
food, fun, music, and
more. It was about
raising money for the
community. At last
count money to help
Greene County neighbors
included $1,200 to the
Greene County Food Bank,
$500 to Greene Habitat
for Humanity, plus
donations to the
different groups that
helped with the event and
the service projects and
programs of Stanardsville
United
 Methodist
Church.
Thanks
to the many who helped
make the day (and the
future) wonderful for all
of us.
