The Madison-Greene
Humane Society offers
 Free spays and neuters
for feral cats during the months of
April and May.
The funding for the
Free Ferals program comes from the
Compassion Fund, a special fund set
up at the end of 2007 for priority
use in Greene County. Those who
want to participate in the Free Ferals Program, to make additional
donations to the Compassion Fund or
to receive additional information
about the program should contact us
at 540/948-3191 for information and
details.
We also have a Spay Your Momma
Program available where people can
surrender a litter of kittens to us
so we can find homes for them and
we will spay the Momma Cat for
free. Again, to schedule intake for
the kittens and the surgery for the
Momma, individuals should contact
us at 540/948-3191. We expect this
program to be in effect throughout
the year.
The Humane Society has other
low-cost spay/neuter options
available and we will be glad to
discuss options with individuals.
