Nathaniel C. Craddock, Jr.

Nathaniel C. “Buck” Craddock, Jr., 84, of Ruckersville went Home to be with the Lord October 4, 2007.

Buck was born on December 12, 1922 in Winding Gulf, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Nathaniel C. Craddock, Sr. and Daisy Fincham Craddock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelia Craddock; one sister, Toby Comfort; three brothers, Darrell Craddock, Jack Craddock and infant brother, Jerry Craddock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Laura Katherine Craddock; one daughter, Suzan Craddock Stump and her husband, Edward of Dillwyn; one sister, Joy Arneson of Florida; two brothers, William H. Craddock of Charlottesville, Donald Craddock also of Florida; many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Buck proudly served his country during World War II with the U. S. Army. He was an active member of Ruckersville Baptist Church. He was retired from General Service Administration. He enjoyed being outdoors and turkey hunting.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Ryan Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Ruckersville Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Clements officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ruckersville Baptist Church, PO Box 104, Ruckersville, Virginia 22968.
