James A. Eby, Jr. lost
his long battle with Pulmonary Disease on October23,
2007 in Harrisonburg . He was retired from the James
Madison University English Department.
After retirement, he
moved to Ruckersville, Virginia where he became
heavily involved in breeding and showing Tennessee
Walking Horses. He also loved his orchids, painting
with watercolor and enjoying the company of Annie, his
beloved beagle and Scram his cat.
He had a kind heart and
touched the lives of many. He will be greatly missed
by all those that loved him, especially Sam, his life
partner. We rejoice in the fact that he is now with
those that have gone before him safely in the arms of
a Higher Power.
A celebration of his
life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday Nov.3, 2007
at Hidden Creek Farm on Marshall Road in Ruckersville.
Ryan Funeral Home,
Ruckersville assisted the family with arrangements.
