Joyce Snow Jarrell, 76, of Stanardsville passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Joyce was born on September 30, 1931 in Charlottesville. She was the daughter of Carrie Dean Snow and the late Everett C. Snow.

She is survived by her mother, Carrie Dean Snow of Dyke, Virginia; her loving husband of 61 years, Jesse W. Jarrell, Jr. of Stanardsville, Virginia; two daughters, Jacquelyn Jarrell of Charlottesville, Virginia, Brenda Jo Aylor and her husband, Delmer of Chase City, Virginia; one son, Ronald Jarrell and his wife, Nona of Stanardsville, Virginia; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Snow Jenkins of Stanardsville, Virginia; one uncle, Clinton Dean of Baltimore, Maryland; one aunt, Naomi Powell of Ruckersville, Virginia; her lifelong friend, Barbara Snow of Dyke, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Campanello of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home.
