Katherine MorrisKatherine “Girlie” Snow Morris

Katherine “Girlie” Snow Morris, 71, of Stanardsville passed away November 7, 2007 at the Evergreene Nursing Care Center.

She was born May 23, 1936 in Greene County. She was the daughter of the late Reuben and Emma Breeden Snow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Junior Morris; one son, Calvin Morris; three brothers, Elmer Snow, Ernest Snow and Otis Snow; two sisters, Pansy S. Baugher and Peggy S. Clarkson; three half-brothers, Lertie Breeden, Welford Breeden and Willie Breeden; one half-sister, Lillian B. Snow.

She is survived by two sisters, Rozelia S. Shifflett and Nellie S. Carver; two brothers, Conrad Snow and Joe Snow; and many other family members especially Tommy 3 Shifflett and Anna Graham.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the Shifflett Family Cemetery with Revs. David Flack and Valerie Ritter officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road Suite 200, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Eppard and all of Katherine’s nieces for all of their love and care of Katherine.
