Frances E. “Gesse” Mallory

Frances E. “Gesse” Mallory,83, of Stanardsville departed this life on February 2, 2008 at her home.

Gesse was born on August 20, 1924 in Greene County. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Early.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Mallory, Sr.; two sisters, Helen and Mary “Crecy” Early; three brothers, Davis, Matthew and Thomas Early; one son, Ricky Mallory; four daughters-in-law, Valerie Mallory, Denise Mallory, Nancy Mallory and Delores Faulkner; one grandson, Rodney Ward; and three great great grandchildren.

Gesse leaves to cherish her memory three sons, James L. Mallory, Jr. and devoted friend, Joyce Lacy of Fluvanna; Winfred Mallory of Charlottesville, Larry Mallory and his wife, Brenda of Maryland; one daughter, Nana Ward and her husband, James of Madison; daughter-in-law, Rosa Mallory; one brother, Randolph Early of Stanardsville; 31 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Harrison Williams officiating.Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
