Joseph E. Mickie

Joseph E. Mickie, 48, of Stanardsville went to be with the Lord on
Friday, September 14, 2007.

He was born January 2, 1959 in Charlottesville, Virginia.  He was the
son of the late Willie B. Mickie and Emma Lee Williams Mickie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jeffrey
Mickie.

Joseph is survived by his longtime companion, Lynn L. Bright of
Stanardsville; one son, Eugene Edward Bright; two daughters, Monica
Lynnette Bright and Nicole Lynn Bright all of Charlottesville; three
sisters, Barbara Jean Mickie, Antionette Mickie both of Danville,
Virginia, Sherena Mickie of Nelson County; five brothers, Richard
Williams of Stanardsville, Stanley Mickie of Ruckersville, Eugene
Mickie of Richmond, Willie Mickie of also of Ruckersville, Kevin Mickie
of Madison; five grandchildren, Raheim Bright, Shyheim Bright, Diamond
Bright, Raekwon Bright, Latrina Bright; and many other family members
and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 20,
2007 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Harrison Williams
officiating.  Interment will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery.
