Jewell R. Reynolds

Jewell R. Reynolds, 82, of Ruckersville passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born on January 22, 1926 in Colquitt, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Lesly Rooks and Bessie Smith Rooks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Reynolds; a grandchild, Tara Reynolds Radabolt.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Barkley of Fairview, North Carolina; one son, Earl Addison Reynolds of Williamsburg, Virginia; two grandchildren, Erin Dupree, Earl "Rae" Reynolds, Jr.; a son-in-law, Tommy Radabolt; six great grandchildren, Tristan Radabolt, Dezrae, Dawn and Rachel Reynolds, Paige and Guy Dupree; and many other family members, nieces, nephews and friends, including Bill Gentry and family for always being there throughout the years.

Jewell worked with her husband, Silas. Together they were instrumental in the development of Deer Lake Estates and the Food Lion Shopping Center in Greene County.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home.
