Edith Lucille Wildman Smith

Edith Lucille Wildman Smith, 78, of Louisa passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.

Edith was born April 12, 1929 in Keyser, Ohio.  She was the daughter of the late Oscar Wildman and Birdie May Wildman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter , Diane Lynn Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Smith; five sons, James Smith of Dillwyn, Virginia,  Dale Smith of Columbus, Ohio, Donald Smith of Rayland, Ohio, Ray Smith of Bellaire, Ohio, Tim Smith of Nappanee, Indiana; five daughters, Janet Janos of Bridgeport, Ohio, Patricia Crawford of Louisa, Virginia, Connie Ice of Springfield, Virginia, Debra Heatherington also of Louisa, Virginia, Gloria Zanes of Rayland, Ohio; 29 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Conger and Bertha Fern Hale both of Jackson, Ohio; one brother, Elwood George Wildman of Columbus, Ohio; and many other family members and friends.

Edith was a member of the Charlottesville First Church of the Nazarene.She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Willis officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Ryan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tammy Fox, c/o Ryan Funeral Home, PO Box 274, Ruckersville, Virginia 22968.

Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
