County for more than
3 decades. |
|
|
The Woman's Club of Greene County is a nonprofit service
and social
organization dedicated to serving and improving both the Greene County
community and our members. Members participate in educational,
entertaining and information programs, projects, activities and outings.
The club is a 501-C3 non-profit organization and a
member of the United Federation of Woman's Clubs, the Virginia
Federation of Woman's Clubs and the Shenandoah District.
The Woman's Club meets the 2nd Monday evening of the
month. (The club does not meet in August.) Dues are $25 a year.
Membership is open to women of all ages.

The Greene County Food Bank
The club
administers and funds the local food bank through the club
treasury and monetary and food donations from local businesses and
individuals. |

The Helping Hands Craft Bazaar
The first Saturday of November is time for our annual
bazaar. Proceeds benefit the Scholarship Project. 2009 Application |

Scholarship Project
Each year, 2 scholarships are awarded to county senior girls: an academic scholarship
and a vocational scholarship. Amounts of scholarship are
determined by bazaar proceeds and donations form the community.

Annual spring yard sale benefits the Christmas Gift Project. |

Caring for the Children
Children's Christmas Gift Project
Local business and individual sponsorship and donations help
provide a new Christmas toy and book for each needy child in
Greene Count |

 Other great activities, events and projects such as the
Female Athlete of the Year Award for the High School, the annual Dinner Out and
annual pool party, Ice Cream Social and so much more. |
